We are just warming up to all the glitzy moments in Ghana, Nigeria and hopefully all over Africa. Yes, we are even considering the world . For now we will have to make do with some shots from other websites. But don’t get comfy with them yet. Haute Spott is about to blow up.In the meantime, here is the Ovation Red Carol in pictures for you.
Our feedback: (We know our feedback does not matter but we will write it anyway)Though the event had initially been publicized as a glitzy night with the stars,we only saw pockets of celebrities at the event, with a bunch of empty chairs in the mix. However, we give team Ovation a thumbs up for that Wyclef Surprise. Again, we think the surprise wasn’t really a major surprise knowing that the Haitian had already surprised us a couple of years back. Overall, we will give the team , a good attempt!Nonetheless, I think Ameyaw did a great job with the roll call. Read his intro of the event, hopefully, you will get a better picture.
Ovation International Magazine hosted its popular ‘Ovation Carol & Awards’ in Accra for the first time since its inception and it will surely be remembered by patrons who were thrilled to a night of music, fashion and comedy. The event, which was the 6th Edition of the special Christmas charity ball, featured performances by the wonderful Winneba Youth Choir, Nigeria’s premier rock band, Threadstone, Edem, Afriyie, Sonnie Badu, M.I, Ice Prince, Burna Boy, Becca and Efya.
Grammy Award winning writer, producer and musician, Wyclef Jean made a surprise appearance on the night, performing several of his hit songs back to back. There was also a performance by US-based Nigerian Opera singer, Abiodun Koya and a runway presentation by Nigerian fashion designer, Mai Atafo.
