As far as we are concerned getting verified on twitter is no longer a big deal.Almost all the African stars are verified on there.  But it looks like soon African stars will be looking to bragging with their star power through facebook verification. D’Banj has become the first Nigerian celebrity to verified on Facebook.. Unfortunately, we don’t have information about the rest of Africa . He becomes the second Nigerian following  President Goodluck Jonathan being the first.

His account with Facebook now carries a ‘blue tick’ sign to show the authentic account of the singer and distinguish it from parody accounts of D’Banj. Some well-known public figures and Pages with large followings are verified by Facebook as having an authentic identity. These profiles and Pages may include celebrities, journalists, government officials, popular brands and businesses. Facebook verifies profiles or Pages to help users be sure that they are who they claim to be before you hit the like button.

So we are wondering who will be the next?
