A Kenyan woman by the name of Linda Okello(pictured) was reprimanded by her superiors at her Kiambu base . According to the publication the corporal traffic police officer was summoned by the local county commander James Mugeria and reprimanded over her dress code, which was termed as indecent. This has however caused a social media frenzy.
Officials said the summon was procedural and that they have given prior warning to all policewomen about indecent dressing. Yeah,Whatever!

The racist remarks by LA Clippers owner, Donald Sterling has already stirred a hornet’s nest, drawing a widespread condemnation from basketball fans, players, politicians and celebrities alike. Sterling’s racist rant has started having dire consequences for the LA Clippers, with a growing number of long-term corporate sponsors and major advertisers halting sponsorship and advertising relationships with the team with immediate effect.
Reports say that corporate sponsors like Corona, Kia, Virgin America, Samsung and Red Bull are among others have pulled out, while several companies have suspended advertising and marketing campaigns over the furore.
Last week,US President Barack Obama weighed in, reportedly decrying the discouraging reality that the country “continues to wrestle with the legacy of race and slavery and segregation”.
“When ignorant folks want to advertise their ignorance you don’t really have to do anything, you just let them talk and that’s what happened here,” Obama was quoted as saying.
Basketball legend and NBA Hall of Famer Magic Johnson, the main target of his remarks expressed his disappointment, hurt and outrage over Sterling’s remarks and is reportedly looking to buy the LA Clippers franchise, but not while Sterling owns it.
Meanwhile,the NBA is expected to announce investigation findings later today (Tuesday). Sanctions could include a lifetime suspension and a hefty fine, but the National Basketball Players Association says Sterling has no place in the NBA family and has called on the body to force Sterling to sell the team.
The former body guard of singer, Rihanna slapped her with a defamation lawsuit Monday.
According to TMZ, Geoffrey Keating, an Irish has filed a lawsuit in his home country Ireland.
He claims that Riri made “nauseatingly offensive” and made false statement about him in a 2013 email to him and his partner last July. Rihanna apparently also made offensive statements to Keating’s sister in a phone call. Keith Spencer , Keating’s lawyer revealed he got permission from the court to serve Rihanna with the notice of the lawsuit, according to report by TMZ.
The permission was granted in an exparte proceeding with no representation for RIhanna. The lawsuit was seeking unspecified damages and a court order directing the singer to publish a correction of the alleged defamation.

The release of critically acclaimed movie ” Half of a yellow Sun ” has been delayed by the censor board in Nigeria. According to sources the movie has been banned but the National film and video censors board states otherwise.
A statement released in Abuja on Monday by Caesar Kagho, the Acting Head, Corporate Affairs of NFVCB denied all claims saying the movie has not been cleared for the Nigerian cinemas.
It said that management of the NFVCB was ensuring that some unresolved issues in the movie were sorted out in accordance with the laid down regulations of the board. It did not, however, state the ‘unresolved issues.’
The statement said that the board reaffirmed its determination to exercising its responsibility of film censorship and classification in the country.
“Half of a Yellow Sun” is written by renowned writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and directed by Biyi Bandele.
The movie is based on the novel of the award winning Nigerian author, Chimamanda Adichie, which focused on a love story of two sisters who were caught up in the outbreak of the Nigerian civil war.
The movie featured notable Nollywood and foreign stars including Chiwetel Ejiofor, Thandie Newton, Onyeka Onwenu and Genevieve Nnaji.
The movie was recently premiered in London and Lagos respectively.
