Kwasi Enin, student of William Floyd High School in Mastic, who got accepted into 8 Ivy league Schools revealed that he will be going to Yale for an undisclosed amount of financial aid that was offered to him. The first generation Ghanaian , whose parents are nurses, hopes to go in to do medicine himself one day and become a doctor.
Last month it was reported that Enin had been accepted to seven other creme de la creme institutions with an offer from Brown University, Columbia University, Cornell University, Dartmouth College, Harvard University, Princeton University, and the University of Pennsylvania. This year’s Ivy League average admission rate is 8.925 percent, and for the Class of 2018, for all of Enin’s eight schools, only 22,624 were accepted. Enin managed a 2, 250 on his SAT.
As soon as news of Enin’s accomplishment hit, he was hit by a lot of media attention and even managed a TV appearance on “Late Night with David Letterman. He said that now he wants to relax, keep his schedule free, and just focus on the university’s upcoming advanced placement test.
